Acceptable Use — In Plain English

A friendly version of our Acceptable Use Policy. The full policy controls if there's a conflict.

The short version

Don't use StoryVox to hurt, defraud, deceive, or steal from people. Don't make audio that pretends to be a real person. Don't use it for anything that's a crime in your country. Don't break our service.

If you cross those lines, we'll remove the content, suspend or terminate your account, and in serious cases (CSAM, fraud, threats) report you to authorities.

Things that are absolutely banned

No CSAM, ever. Any content that sexualizes a minor — real, fictional, or AI-generated — is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement.

No voice clones of real people without their consent — recorded, on file. Specifically:

• No clones of your boss, your ex, your coworker, or anyone else without consent
• No clones of celebrities or public figures (period, even with consent — see below)
• No clones of dead people without estate authorization
• No clones of politicians for political content
• No clones of anyone under 18, ever, even with consent

We require a recorded consent statement for every voice clone. Don't fake it — that's also a violation.

No fraud or scam audio. No "this is your bank" voicemails. No "this is your grandchild, I'm in trouble" calls. No fake customer-service audio. No spoofed authority figures.

No election misinformation. No deepfake audio of candidates. No fabricated political statements. No misleading get-out-the-vote calls.

No harassment, hate, doxxing, or threats.

No non-consensual intimate content — synthetic or otherwise. Never of a minor.

No malware, no service attacks, no scraping, no circumventing our rate limits.

No competing-service training. Don't use our output to train your own TTS model.

Adult content

If we ever turn on an adult-content tier, it'll be:

• Behind an age gate (18+)
• Only for consenting adults
• No sexualized minors, ever
• No real-person impersonation, ever (those rules above still apply)

If we haven't turned it on for your plan, generating sexual content isn't allowed.

Bad advice

Don't generate audio that pretends to be authoritative medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice if it isn't, in a way that could hurt someone who listens to it.

How we enforce

We don't pre-screen everything you generate, but we have the right to act when we find a violation or when someone reports one. Our enforcement ladder:

1. Warning — first non-severe violation
2. Content removal — at any time
3. Feature suspension — e.g., voice cloning shut off
4. Account suspension — repeated or serious issues
5. Permanent termination — repeated suspension violations or one severe violation
6. Law enforcement referral — for CSAM, threats, fraud crimes

For really severe stuff (CSAM, voice fraud causing harm, threats of violence, mass abuse), we go straight to permanent termination. No refund.
